Unto The Hills by Billy Graham A LaMothe Book Review

Sometimes, when things look bleak, a daily devotional can come in handy....

Billy Graham's Unto The Hills has "Drawn from more than 40 years of study and ministry, this devotional classic offers 365 meditations to calm the soul and point toward the One who can always help. A day-by-day guide for quiet reflection and prayer from the nation's most beloved spiritual leader."

Having quoted that from an editorial review my own thoughts are that although this devotional is an easy read especially if you are on a busy schedule and just want a quick verse and some inspiration to start your day, its not really modernized for the families living in today's fast paced world. One page for each day and a quick suggested prayer at the bottom of the page often leads to the question 'how can I apply this to my life NOW?' It's a little preachy in places but then again Unto The Hills was written by Billy Graham!

I think this is a perfect book for a Christian who is 'old school' and I plan on making a gift of it to my Aunt who is soon to be 94.

* Thank you to the publisher of Unto The Hills, Thomas Nelson, as part of the BookSneeze program, for sending me a copy of this book for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
