Even with all restrictions, Iranian women play an active role in the society in many fields including environmental sciences.
Elham Abtin is one of the best examples. Abtin, an environmental expert, works at the center for crocodile breeding and research center in the city of Chahbahar in southeastern Iran.
While many men shy away from such a job, Abtin has no problem handling the crocodiles.
